* US prices, particularly for the e-book seem to vary, I do not know why this is. I had originally set the price to be $ 5.99 but every time I check on Amazon.com there is a different price displayed currently ranging from as low as $ 5.92 to as high as $ 6.02. This seems to be a peculiarity of the American Amazon site. Unfortunately I seem to have no influence over the actual price at any given time.

"The road to hell is paved in good intentions" is the big theme in "The Conduit". The novel has no true heroes and no true villains. The characters act like (we think) real people would act under similar circumstances. No one in the novel tries to be an epic hero and no one has any bad intentions or ill will when they make decisions. Everyone acts, believing they are doing the right thing. But in spite of all the good intentions (or sometimes because of them) things start to go terribly wrong. The guardians call it the gap. To Christianity the events that follow the plot of "The Conduit" would be better known as Armageddon.
"The Conduit" is the first of a series of novels, consisting of both prequels and sequels to the events described here (The first prequel titled "The Art of Being Another" is soon to be released (today's date 05.13.2018) - in it the guardians are embroiled in the Second World War and the events leading up to it. The novel introduces a new concept to our universe, the "soulshredders", although attentive readers will soon realize that we had included a short and unexplained reference also in "The Conduit". Some hints are given on how the gap can yet be averted.
